Seventeen Doll’d Up Mascara

Seventeen doll'd up mascara

Today I am reviewing the Seventeen Doll’d Up Mascara (Boots – £6.29) and I only bought it as I had a voucher that made this mascara only £2! It would be rude not to..

What does it do?

This mascara claims to give your eyelashes 24hr curl and volume for that ‘doll-eyed’ look and with the anti-clump brush, your lashes will look smooth and defined.

First Impressions!

I could not get on with the wand to save my life at first! I continually poked myself in the eye because I am used to longer bristles, but these are rather small and stubby so you have to go closer to your eye which causes the natural reaction to blink. Also, as the wand has a curve in it, it made things even more of a challenge because I have a habit of twisting the wand as I am applying my mascara to add a little extra curl to my lashes, so even more painful pokes in the eyes! The wand being plastic didn’t make things any more comfortable either! As for the actual mascara.. I noticed that it held the curl well, but I didn’t see much of a difference in the volume of my lashes. It’s good for those subtle makeup looks or when you don’t want to wear makeup, but you still want your eyes to stand out a little.

In Summary!

I think I would love this mascara more if it had slightly longer bristles on the wand.. It did a great job at curling my lashes and I will most likely buy this again when this runs out and even at its full price! I just need a little practice with the wand haha.
Have you tried it? Tell me what you think
