Welcome to part two of my little makeup collection series, if you’d like to see where I got my vanity and the rest of my storage, check out this post (here). The past few have been very exciting.. We picked up our little husky puppy Luna and she’s been settling in nicely, I have made her an Instagram account (here)
I’m such a huge fan of Soap & Glory skincare and makeup and this primer is no exception! For a drugstore primer, it’s pretty good and it helps my makeup last all day.
I try to only use this when I’m going out or I need my makeup to last from morning to night as it’s only a sample size. I’m still thinking of buying the full size however since trying the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm I might not..
If you’ve read my Newly Added post you will know that I love this product as a primer! Since using this I much prefer this to the Benefit Porfessional. It feels great on my skin, keeps my makeup in place all day (even my 4:30am – 10pm days) and you need the smallest amount of product to get flawless skin!
You can watch my YouTube video where I try out a few base products from NYX. Out of these primers, this one is my least favourite.. It’s a good primer don’t get me wrong, I just don’t like that it’s more of a thin cream. I just think it smoothes over the skin a little strangely.
I have been using this concealer for years! These are my go to under-eye concealers, I have light and nude because some days my eyes can look really blue and the nude shade cancels that out perfectly!
I haven’t tested this one out to its full potential yet as it’s new to my collection. So far I have been using it on any blemishes under my foundation as it’s a concealer you have to warm up with your finger before applying it. I really like the fact it doesn’t stick to my blemishes, just conceals them!
I am still not too sure how I feel about this under-eye concealer.. It is a great concealer but I think for me it’s just a little too heavy under the eyes and can make my makeup look a little cakey!
This is my go to concealer that I use when I can’t be bothered with foundation.. I just pop a little of this on my cheeks to tone down redness, dab a dot under my eyes and I’m good to go! I tend to go for this option when I’m working an early shift and I choose sleep over appearance haha!
I’m sure everyone has one of these in their makeup collection, it’s such a beauty staple although this particular tube is a little old so I think we may have to part way my dear old friend!
Hands down my favourite eye primer! I have tried a fair few throughout my makeup journey and this one is my holy grail. Unlike most primers, it doesn’t crease or make any of your eye makeup look cakey or oily.. I haven’t tried any Urban Decay’s Primer Potion yet but I do plan, but until then I will swear by this product!
I’ve been using this foundation for almost a year now and I love the finish of it.. I have the lightest shade which is a little too light but the next shade up is a too dark for me (typical) so I mix this with the Max Faxtor 3in1 foundation and it fits my skin tone perfectly!
Yet another foundation I have been using for years! If you look back through my older posts you’ll see this foundation pop up a few times and I still buy it again when I run out. All round it’s a great foundation and lasts on the skin well!
I’m still a little on the fence with this foundation.. It’s alright if you want light coverage, however, I like medium to full due to my redness! I tend to only wear this when I’m just running errands.
This is my summertime foundation. It’s a little too dark for me all year round but I like the finish it gives to my skin.. My only quibble is after a few hours of wearing it, my skin can look a little shiny and I’m not really into that look!
This powder is great for those days when my foundation looks a little pale.. I always apply powder before my setting spray because.. Well, I don’t really know. It’s the order I’ve always done it in even though most people apply their powder straight after their foundation. It’s mattifying and doesn’t stick to any dry areas!
As you can see I’ve used this powder A LOT! It’s hands down my favourite powder I have ever used, I’ve always found that my foundation looks so much better once I apply this powder. Makes my skin look flawless and keeps it looking matte.
Now I’m pretty sure everyone and their mums have used this powder at least once in their lives! This used to be my go-to until I found the L’Oreal Infallible Powder. It does exactly what it says on the tin, makes your makeup stay matte! It’s a great powder and I still use it occasionally.
I don’t think I have used this powder enough to make a true decision on whether I like it or not, however, it is a good powder! I don’t think it keeps my makeup in place or matte as well as any of the other. It is good if you have redness and want to tone it down.
This fixing mist is great.. You just have to make sure you shake it for a while otherwise you’ll just end up with little white dots on your face. As a setting spray, it does keep makeup in place.
I love this setting spray! I feel that without this my makeup doesn’t look as good as it could be.. No matter how long I am wearing the makeup, as long as I have sprayed this ontop then my makeup will look freshly done!
So that’s it for this post! Be sure to follow me on Bloglovin’ to keep updated!
