I will admit I fell off the blogging wagon HARD! If you follow me on Instagram and Twitter you will know that in October Toby and I went to Spain for a little family holiday and that’s where I disappeared! Once I got back I found it very hard to get back into blogging, although I am coming back with extremely exciting news.. We are having a baby in June!!
So this post is about how pregnancy has been treating me so far, I know this won’t appeal to all of my readers but there are more posts on the way! At the moment I’m 15 weeks pregnant which means I am in the second trimester, the “honeymoon period”. The first trimester was a slight struggle due to sleeping most of my days away, hence why I’ve struggled to get back into blogging. As for morning sickness, I have been very lucky! My sickness has been quite mild and only really sets in if I haven’t eaten anything for a while. The worst pregnancy symptom I’ve experienced so far is heartburn.. No matter how much or how little portions I eat, I will get it! It’s always worse when I’m trying to sleep at night which ends up making me restless (best start getting used to sleepless nights eh?!). The fun part is apparently as little peanut gets bigger it may get worse so yay! haha.
We had our first scan on the 1st of January and it was the most magical emotional thing I’ve ever experienced! As soon as our baby was on the screen I couldn’t help but cry. Seeing your baby for the first time really does make it seem much more real, I could honestly watch our peanut move around for hours and I cannot wait for our next scan next month! We will be finding out the sex and so far we have a few names for a girl although we’re a little stumped for boys names (if you have any ideas, please leave them below). It’s been so difficult not buying baby clothes through a mix of not wanting to jinx it and a lot of clothing being gender specific (of course there’s a few fox themed baby items in my wishlist).
So that’s the most exciting thing that’s happened in the past 3 months.. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, spent lots of time with family and telling everyone our news was great! I think we have some very excited grandparents to be.
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Years and I wish you all the best in 2018
