Baby Haul

Mini Baby Haul & Pregnancy Update

Today I completely broke my ‘no buying clothes until I was 20weeks‘ rule, but I honestly couldn’t help myself! I bought a few things from Asda and let me tell you, it has been so difficult trying not to when we shop in there on a regular basis. Luckily for us, they seem to be having their baby event and right in front of the door was a stand full of the cutest, teeniest baby clothing I have ever seen!

Baby Haul

I didn’t go too crazy, I only got a set of three grows and a changing bag but doing that has made me feel so emotional and full of happiness! I’ve been looking on Mothercare quite regularly (if you’d like to see a baby wishlist let me know) and I’ve seen so many adorable clothing items for either a girl or boy. We won’t know the sex of our baby until Valentine’s Day hence why I didn’t want to buy anything before our 20-week scan, but I caved! Oh well..

Asda baby grows

These little grows only cost me £5 and they are beautifully soft and well made. The material feels like it will wash nicely too which other than comfort is a big factor in baby clothing!. Baby sizing is still a bit of a mystery to me so I got 0-3months, I’m not sure if they might be a little too big but we’ll have to wait and see!

Red Kite Sodbury Changing Bag

Whilst I’ve been looking on Mothercare, I’ve been checking out different changing bags too and I kinda struggled to find one that was a good price and I actually liked! This is the Red Kite Sodbury changing bag and cost me £18 in Asda. This is roomier than a few of my handbags combined and that’s something I was definitely looking for in a changing bag. I love the white and blue stripe design with the tan faux leather, I think it works together really well and it’ll be easy enough to tie in with whatever travel system we decide to get later on down the line. Something I’m a little embarrassed to admit but, I genuinely got so excited to find a changing mat at the bottom of the bag when taking all the stuffing out.. I was so chuffed with the bag I didn’t expect to have any sort of extra with it but it’s a lovely bonus!

Pregnancy Update

I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and things are still going well. I feel great, I seem to have all my energy back and the best bit, hardly any heartburn! Over the past few weeks, I’ve been wanting to get the house a little more baby ready so I’ve made a good start on finishing the two bedrooms. Toby has been a total gem and has helped move furniture around for me and even build my new wardrobe, I feel well enough to carry on as I always have done before I was pregnant, but because I only have a small bump at the moment sometimes I forget.. Which sounds silly but I just go to auto-pilot then get told off haha.

Bump is growing nicely and is starting to show through my more fitted tops.. Sadly I haven’t been taking bump photos since I’ve found out but I will be starting this week! I seem to be living in jumpers and joggers when I’m home.. Regular jeans are becoming unbearable so it looks like I’ll have to invest in some maternity ones soon! Any suggestions would really be appreciated for maternity clothing, I’ve looked at a few bits but again I don’t like the style or I can’t imagine myself with a full-fledged bump!

I know my last few posts have been very baby orientated but I do have some regular post lined up so don’t worry! I’m always running polls to see what you’d like to see next so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram to get your vote in!

  1. Love the items you picked up! I found baby clothing sizes really tricky too but if it helps at all, 0-3 months were still big on my 9lb 3 son for a little while! I probably didn’t buy quite enough in ‘newborn’ but at the same time they do grow so quickly so it’s hard to judge! I bought my maternity jeans from next (they were over the bump) and they were so comfortable. xx

    1. Ah.. I may go back and get the newborn size too then just to be safe! It’s a struggle trying to guess the size of baby you’re going to have.. I was a slight chunk but my boyfriend was small/normal but his brother was bigger than me haha I bought my work trousers from Next and they are great! Ordered some maternity jeans from New Look just to test out and the fit was awful! I may order some in a bit, I’m going to pop the button if I keep wearing my Primark jeans haha xx

  2. Congratulations and wishing you the best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy. Would love to see more posts and updates about it x
