Spring Get Ready With Me

Hello Munchkins! So as I get back into making videos again I thought it would be a good time to do an updated ‘get ready with me’ video featuring my current beauty favourites and outfit! I have a haul and a first impressions video coming soon, but if there is anything else you would like to see from me then you can leave a comment below, tweet me or find me on Instagram.

Spring OOTD

Since moving stores at the beginning of February, I haven’t had an awful lot of time to do the things I enjoy.. Luckily my workload is starting to level out and I have a little more structure to my life! This day, in particular, has been one of my favourite days.. It was spontaneous, beautifully sunny and just nice to spend some quality time with Toby without me falling asleep on him!

My Recent Depop Buys

So I‘ve hopped onto the Depop bandwagon and I see why so many people love it! Originally I was just using it to sell a few of my bits and bobs, but it wasn’t until I decided to search for a few things out of curiosity and now I can’t stop buying things.. Someone, please take away my money! I’m still waiting for two parcels, but I couldn’t wait to write a post about.. My pre-birthday presents to myself? That’s a valid excuse right?!
GAP knitted jumper
This is quite possibly the comfiest jumper I now own and it only cost me £9.50 including postage, the jumper is quite oversized which is perfect for me because I like my sleeves to be quite long. I’ll be going to Blackpool in October and this baby will definitely come with me!
The next few items I bought all in one bundle..
e.l.f. Eye Enhancing Eyeshadow
e.l.f. Baked Eyeshadow
Barry M Natural Glow 2 Palette
Marks & Spencers aloe vera hand and nail cream
Little compact mirror
This little bundle only cost me £8 including postage, meaning each item only cost me £1.60 which is pretty good considering the Barry M palette is nearly £7to begin with. I only wanted the eyeshadows to be fair, but the girl decided to throw in a few freebies which was nice of her.
So that’s all the things I have, for now, I’ve been on such a spending spree so expect a fair few hauls in the future! Feel free to leave your Depop accounts below.

PIEBOY Urban Bobble Beanie Hat

Earlier this year I was contacted by PIEBOY asking if I would like to be sent one of their hats to review, now me being a bobble hat lover it was a no brainer! I have been meaning to write this post months ago but I have a few things to deal with and I took on a second job, so my time has been limited.. Better late than never right?

About PIEBOY

PIEBOY was started by two students at the University of Manchester with the common thought that their University Apparel lacked style and needed something more quirky and cool to wear during a long day of lectures. So the pair created a prototype of their first bobble hat, which is now called the ‘Varsity‘ hat and set up a stall outside of their University. To their surprise the Manchester sold out in no time, everyone went crazy for it including local celebs. PIEBOY quickly became a recognised brand and many other Universities wanted to be a part of it! Within a year the brand became the first independent brand to be sold within University stores, 31 stores in total and the number is still growing! PIEBOY have now branched out into the fashion world by offering two collections… PIEBOY Urban and the limited edition PIEBOY Original.
My thoughts

Throughout the colder months, I love to wear beanie hats! Simply because they keep me nice and cosy and they pull an outfit together. I usually go for black hats because I was never brave enough to step out of that comfort zone, however, I decided to choose the burgundy Urban beanie as I was obsessed with burgundy throughout winter13.
Okay, so let’s start with the main reason why I love this beanie… The bobble! Unlike a lot of bobble beanies its a mix of two colours, which in my opinion is better than having a solid coloured bobble. The hat itself is quite thick without it looking like a tea-cosy when you wear it. I haven’t been able to wear it recently because it’s been quite warm here for a change, so it’s been sitting in my wardrobe feeling unloved! I’ve been thinking of a few outfits that I could pair this with but you will have to wait and see until England cools down for some outfit posts!
In conclusion, I think PIEBOY beanies are extremely well made, reasonably priced and I cannot wait to wear my beanie in the autumn/winter!

H&M Wishlist | Spring/Summer 2014

Whenever I buy clothes I always get them from New Look or Primark as I can get a lot for my money… Until recently! I always assumed H&M to be expensive for some strange reason and never browsed their site, so I was a little bored last night and decided to have a look through some clothing websites and obviously, H&M was one of them! I didn’t think I would find so much for so little money, it’s incredible. So here are a few pieces that caught my eye and will hopefully be flying into my wardrobe very soon! I know there’s not a lot of colours however it’s good to have basics right?

Jersey top (£7.99) | Jersey top (£3.99) | Oversized top (£9.95)
Fine-knit jumper (£9.99) | Fine-knit cardigan (£9.99) | Knitted jumper (£10)
Sandals with tassels (£14.99) | Stretch jeans (£14.99) | Super stretch treggings (£12.99) | Jersey pyjamas (£14.99)
Keep your eyes open for an H&M haul in the near future on my YouTube!

My First Romwe Purchase

www.romwe.com
I am so excited to do this post! This is my very first purchase from Romwe.com and I couldn’t be happier! I was too excited to open it, so instead of using my Canon 600D I just used my iPhone 4S for the pictures! Sorry…

So I’m going to start off with the ordering and delivery process, I ordered the coat on the 19th of November and received it today (28th of November) which isn’t too bad seeing as Romwe are based in China. I was able to track the package the whole way, however, it wasn’t as instant as I would like as it is a couple of days behind on the updates of where the package was.
Now onto the packaging… Which I was very impressed with!
Looking at the package itself it is extremely well wrapped! So well wrapped that it took me ages to be able to get into it!
After a few minutes of trying to get into the bag, here is what was inside! A returns form and the item I ordered… Pretty standard.
However, this is where I noticed that Romwe do things a little differently. I love how the item is in a zip-lock bag instead of the normal bag sealed with sellotape! I think it’s great because I can reuse the bag afterwards.
So let’s get to the good part! The item! I ordered the Zippered Black Panel Woolen Coat for just £21.11 (full price £73.85). Now you’re probably wondering how I managed to knock off £52.74, well that’s simple they had a ‘Thanksgiving gift’ offer on which meant the coat was £24.84 however because this was my first purchase I got an extra 15% off as I signed up to their newsletters. Plus it is free shipping no matter how much you spend! That to me just screams amazing! (Pssst.. The coat is currently on offer for £46.99 click here)
So here it is straight out of the packet! It is nicely folded, unlike most items I have ordered from other stores where it comes all screwed up in a ball and I have to hang it in the airing cupboard to get the creases out!
Here’s the full view, yes I know it doesn’t look great like this, however, I will do an outfit post featuring this coat very soon so you can get a better look! There are so many little details on this coat, I love the use of the wool, faux leather and silver zips/buttons. It just brings the whole coat together and I know I will be able to pair this with many outfits already!
Working zip on the sleeve
Mixing textures is quite a big trend at the moment so another reason why this coat has it all! It’ll make it so simple to create an outfit that is bang on trend by just having this coat as the main attraction!
Well there is my new gorgeous coat from Romwe.com! Be sure to keep an eye out for an outfit post very soon.

Solus Lupus Wish List

www.soluslupus.com
Recently I signed up to The Blogger Programme (join up here) where they connect bloggers and brands together. I have found quite a few brands that sound absolutely amazing and I will be doing a wish list type of thing for all of them. Today’s post is on Solus Lupus, which is a store with absolutely gorgeous jewellery pieces.

About Solus Lupus

Solus Lupus was started in the late summer of 2013 by Paris and co-owner Erin. However this isn’t the first online store Paris has owned, it all started off in the days of Myspace. Where she sold homemade jewellery and custom hair extensions but of course that lasted as long as Myspace was popular. Fast forward two years, Paris went on to start up an Etsy store called ‘Thousand Confessions’. However, in early 2013 she stopped using Etsy due to the limitations of being able to expand her store. Which left her time to research ways to expand her business further and that was where ‘Solus Lupus’ began.
If you’ve been with me for a while then you will know that I adore jewellery, especially necklaces and bracelets! They’re a great way to liven up an outfit or change the look of it, which is why I found going through Solus Lupus so fun! Also, did I mention that a lot of their items were homemade?!
So here are the items that caught my eye…
Wire Wrapped Rose Amethyst Necklace ($20)
This is the first thing I spotted and without a doubt my favourite! Each stone is hand selected depending on the size and colour, wrapped in a gold or silver wire depending on your choice then put onto a gold or silver 30″ chain again depending on your choice. I think this is such a pretty necklace and would add an elegant touch to any outfit.
Spikey Necklace ($14)
The one thing I lack in my jewellery collection is a statement necklace and I think this would be perfect for me as it would add an edgy look to an outfit and it is not too big and bulky which is something that usually puts me off of statement necklaces.
Three Point Spike Necklace ($12)
Yet another spiky necklace! I fell in love with this necklace for two reasons. One its spikes and two it’s a dangle type necklace, I find these sort of necklaces so pretty because they move around on their own which usually means they catch the light quite nicely.
Infinity Bracelet ($8)
I have quite small wrists so I prefer the more dainty of bracelets otherwise if it’s too big and bulky it just looks silly. Which is why I like this bracelet because it’s on a simple silver chain which will move with your wrist instead of being too loose and forever falling off!
I plan to make all these items mine in the near future and I hope you check out their site because there are so many more amazing items on offer!

Sugar + Style Wish List

I was contacted by Sugar + Style a few weeks ago asking me to join their blogging program (you can join up here) so naturally after I signed up I had a little browse of their items and they have a great selection! No matter what your style is you’ll be able to find at least one item to match your style!

http://www.sugarandstyle.co.uk/

About Sugar + Style

The mastermind behind Sugar + Style is Nhuc, (follow her on Twitter and Instagram) she started up Sugar + Style as an online boutique just as a hobby which soon turned into a full time job. She did all the work from selecting the stock all the way up to working out the accounts. Two years on, Nhuc is looking to expand her store further by opening a pop-up store in Westfield over the Christmas holidays but that cannot happen without the funding! Recently Nhuc and her assistant, Sophie have started a campaign on wearethemillion.com (check out their campaign here) where they are hoping to raise £1500 to make that dream come true! This is here you come in, if you have an odd £5 or more that you wont miss then please pop it into their fund, they have some fantastic offers to say thank you depending on how much you give! I will be adding some of my own money into their business once payday gets around because I think they are a fantastic business and I can see them going far!

Here are three items that caught my eye!

Jessie – Black and Pink Aztec Cut-Out Dress (£20)
Up until recently I was never much of a dress kind of girl, I’d live and die in leggings, jeans and shorts however as I’m getting older and my style is changing I love dresses! I love this one for the print alone, it is quite unusual for me to like anything with such a bold print however because it is just 2 colours, it’s not scaring me as much. An outfit that springs to mind is this dress, my black leather jacket from New Look, black tights and some ankle boots.

Anabel – Black Studded Blouse (£28)
Again, not something that I would usually pick however I need to step out of my comfort zone and try out different styles and trends. However what attracted me was the gold studded collar and cuffs, also a detail that I didn’t notice until I read the write up was that the buttons we’re little skulls! Anything that is studded or has skulls on adds a hint of edginess to any outfit, even if it is just leggings and flats.

Morgan – Red Check Studded Blouse (£36)
I have an absolute obsession with checked shirts and this one has studs on the pockets!! Which pushes it to the top of my favourite checked shirt list! My favourite way to wear checked shirts, especially red ones is with a beanie hat, leather jacket, leggings, and combat boots, I think it looks quite edgy and stylish but still comfortable!

#BritishBloggerSelection | My Favourite Clothing Stores

Join #BritishBloggerSelection
So we are on week three of the BritishBloggerSelection themes and this week is all about my favourite place to shop for clothes. Which is quite possibly one of the most exciting topics for me because I use any excuse I possibly can to go clothes shopping. So here are my top three stores for clothes.

1. New Look

I absolutely ADORE New Look! Their Spring/Summer clothing was a bit of a miss for me however now that their Autumn/Winter collection is out I have fallen madly in-love with them again! I have done a post on my New Look wish list which you can see here. I have quite a small store in my town so whenever I go to Taunton or Yeovil I have a field day! I just feel sorry for Steve because I can spend nearly an hour just looking around! I’ve recently done quite a big shop in New Look and there will be a haul on my YouTube channel very soon.
2. Forever 21
I have bought quite a few little bits from Forever 21 and so far every piece has been absolutely perfect! One thing that I love about their website is that they tell you the measurements of the items (based on size small) which is quite handy because then you can figure out what size you’ll need. Usually, I am a 12 which is a medium-large with most companies however with Forever 21 I’m a small in most of their items which is a slight confidence booster.
3. eBay

Now I know eBay isn’t a clothing store however they do have a fashion outlet where you can find some absolute gems! Also, there are brands such as American Apparel, BooHoo, H&M, Urban Outfitters and much more. Some items are second hand however some are actually from the company themselves which are on sale! So it’s always good to keep an eye on the Fashion Gallery because that’s where you will get the best deals!
If you would like to join the BritishBloggerSelection then follow this link for details!
